The birth of Rotary Club of Muntinlupa Filinvest has something in common with the creation of Rotary District 3830. While Rotary District 3830 was a result of increasing number of clubs from District 3810 making it necessary to split the district to make more manageable, Rotary Club of Muntinlupa Filinvest came to birth in the same manner. Early April 1999, CP Luz Pacifico met with group composed of PP Des Gurne, PP Patty Naoe, Dir. Shirley Garcia, Dir. Susan Nakase, Divine Mikkelsen and Jessica Saijo to discuss the possibility of chartering a new club. A formal meeting was held on June 9, 1999 at the Opal Room of the Manila Diamond Hotel, Manila Philippines, with incoming president of the Rotary Club of Paranaque Gerry Vergara and PP Frank Pacifico as advisers. It was agreed upon in that meeting to officially charter a new club to be called Rotary Club of Muntinlupa Filinvest City, though the word city was later dropped. It was also decided that the club will meet every Wednesday, 7pm at the Manila Diamond Hotel, Roxas Blvd., Manila Philippines. Regular weekly meetings then ensued with the attendance of different visiting Rotarians from Paranaque and Muntinlupa as guests speakers, such as DGSR Tino Roberto, PP Rolly Suarez, PP Eli Gardiner, Jimmy Ong and Fred Labayen. From the initial 7 members, the club membership rose to 32 the ideal number of members to charter during the regular meeting held on July 15,1999. The club held its organizational and planning session on August 1,1999 at Pacific Plaza Hotel, Makati Philippines with then District Governor of the Rotary International District 3830 Guiller Tumangan, PDG Willy Segovia, DGSR Tino Roberto, President Gerry Vergar, PP Eli Gardiner and PP Frank Pacifico in attendance to guide the club lay down its thrust and goals and to inspire the members of the newly set-up club. The date will be memorable and momentous to RCMF for it is on this date then RI District 3830 Gov. Guiller Tumangan, Signed in the presence of guest and Rotarians the application of the Rotary Club of Muntinlupa Filinvest to be a Millennium Rotary Club of District 3830. On August 4, 1999, the Rotary Club of Muntinlupa Filinvest was officially chartered as a new club, under RI District 3830 with Club No. 52482. The first club chartered in District 3830. RCMF Logo is meant to exemplify: - The combined forces of the members bursting to reach out among themselves, to the local and international communities, not only in the fields of the vocation but also for the purpose of promoting truth, fairness, goodwill and better friendships with the aim of ensuring that it will be beneficial to all concerned. - The Rotary International symbol locates at the center serves to unify the members, standards set by Rotary International for all its undertakings. - M- Symbolizing Muntinlupa is presented in two colors and a building like structures.
